Tour Year from Monday for no apology in Dance Week '08
A final opportunity to see A Year from Monday: originally created for Holland Dance Festival in 2007, this large scale work for 5 dancers and live music by Nieuw Amsterdams Peil (NAP) will be touring The Netherlands during the Danceweek’08.
A Year from Monday is a dance concert dedicated to the mind and music of John Cage. After the success of Norton’s creation on Cage’s “Six Melodies”, he combines forces with Heleen Hulst and Gerard Bouwhuis of NAP, the exquisite musicians of NAP. Simplicity and eloquence of craft is the focus of the evening, pure, uncluttered, no frills.

Irreverence for the Angela Linssen Project
Norton devises a high octane survivor’s guide to Uma Thuman fan clubs, Merce Cunningham and Rodeo Clowning. Irreverence is a solo work for Angel Linssen, the Director of Modern Dance Department of the High School for the Arts Amsterdam as she returns to the stage. After a successful premiere run, Irreverence is now selected for preview in the Dutch Dance Days, Maastricht.
Malediction for Duda Paiva Puppetry and Dance
Since storming onto the stage with the groundbreaking Angel, DPPD has been pioneering its innovative combination of puppetry and modern dance with every new production, winning public accolades and prizes at every stop.
Malediction is DPPD’s new adventure into the world of fairy tales. Two physicians find their practice turned upside down when Oz’s infamous Wicked Witch of the West turns up in their surgery for a medical appointment. Amnesia, malcontent or just plain bonkers, the case proves too twisted for our heroes to refuse. Using recognisable characters out of her past, the doctors aim to trigger her memory and return her from the brink of insanity. However, once opened, the Witch’s head unleashes a Pandora’s Box of chaos, nightmare and hysteria. With inspired use of puppetry, dance and interactive media, Malediction is a kill or cure production for those of you, who would rather that it was the villain, for once, who saves the day.
